Inland Rail - Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2
This project is part of the broader Inland Rail initiative, which aims to upgrade the rail network in Victoria to facilitate the transport of double-stacked freight trains. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Melbourne Metro Tunnel
Connect People is excited to be a supplier to Rail Infrastructure Alliance (RIA), the last major contract awarded as part of the Metro Tunnel project. The RIA consortium comprises John Holland, CPB Contractors and AECOM, and is responsible for delivering the tunnel entrances in South Yarra and Kensington. Connect People is proud to be involved with the project.
The Metro Tunnel project will free up space in the existing City Loop, allowing more trains to run to and from the suburbs and taking Melbourne’s busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city.
It is anticipated that the RIA package will create more than 1,000 jobs, and is expected to be completed in 2025.
SPAPC River Zone
The Parklands zone covers the western corridor of Greater Sydney and consists of more than 2,100 lane km of road, 166 bridges, 1 tunnel, 432 km of cycleway, 344 km of roadside safety barriers, 34,149 traffic signs and 879 traffic signals. The contract also includes the management of ITS across the Parklands zone and Regional NSW, consisting of 4,828 streetlights and 4,080 other assets.
Pyrmont Bridge
Located in Sydney’s Darling Harbour, Pyrmont Bridge, which opened in 1902, is one of the oldest surviving electrically operated swing span bridges in the world and is recognised as a National Engineering Landmark. More than 6 million pedestrians and cyclists use the bridge, while 600 vessels pass through its swing spans annually.
To be carried out in multiple stages over the next five years, the $82 million restoration project will ensure the bridge remains an active city landmark. To maintain the ongoing structural integrity of the bridge, the deteriorated timber sections within the bridge pier and truss sections will be replaced in the first stage of the remediation project.
Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions
Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS) is a 50:50 joint venture between Downer and Ventia, established under a 10-year contract to provide comprehensive asset lifecycle delivery services for the City of Gold Coast’s water and sewerage networks.
This partnership is responsible for the delivery of essential water supply and sewerage services across the City of Gold Coast.
M2 / Lane Cove Tunnel Motorway
Ventia will provide incident response and maintenance services for the 3.6km Lane Cove Tunnel and 21km Hills M2 Motorway, which connect Sydney’s lower north shore and northwest regions.
Under the contracts, Ventia will provide Transurban with a new, tailored service delivery model that builds upon the confidence Ventia already inspires maintaining Transurban’s Eastern Distributor (ED) and Cross City Tunnel (CCT) assets.
A crucial element that helped shape the unique network approach is Ventia’s ability to leverage operational efficiencies drawing on existing experience rom its other Sydney-based transport contracts.
Monash Freeway Upgrade - Stage 2
Monash Stage 2 Construction commenced in early 2020 and is expected be completed in 2022. For Stage 2, the project will:
• Add 36 kilometres of new lanes on the Monash and Princes Freeways |
NBN Construction Contract
The combined portfolio of contracts cover design and construction to support NBN Co’s network investment plan to make its highest wholesale speed plans available, on demand, to up to 75 per cent of households and businesses on the fixed line network.
NBN Co’s selection criteria for its upgrade program is based on areas where the company anticipates strong demand for higher speeds; where it can provide maximum benefit to the most customers; where it can deploy with speed and agility; and where its investment will have the greatest economic benefit.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade
The New South Wales Government will invest to expand and upgrade wastewater and water treatment services in the North West Priority Growth Centre.
The Riverstone Wastewater Treatment Plant at Vineyard is being expanded and upgraded to service the estimated more than 25,000 new dwellings.
As well as this, the Rouse Hill and Castle Hill Water Recycling Plans (WRP) are being expanded to service 3,600 new dwellings.
Level Crossing Removals
The project consists the removal of the level crossings at Burke, North, McKinnon & Centre Roads to reduce congestion in the area and create a safer, more connected community.
Mordialloc Bypass Upgrade
The Mordialloc Freeway will improve travel times and ease congestion in Melbourne’s south east, providing safer, more reliable journeys. As part of the Mordialloc Freeway project, we’ll build:
•Bridges over Springvale, Governor, Lower Dandenong and Centre Dandenong Roads, along with new freeway entry and exit ramps |
