Connect People is seeking an experienced Vac Truck Operator for an ongoing opportunity with our client's road maintenance team based in Rydalmere, NSW.

Our client is a leading road maintenance provider delivering essential infrastructure services across NSW. Their works include general road maintenance and repairs, pothole patching, asphalt works, vegetation control, graffiti removal, sign installation, concrete and drainage works, and incident response.

What's in it for you:

• $54.78 per hour + super
• Night shift – Monday to Friday, 9:00pm to 5:30am
• Some overtime/weekend work available 
• Temp to perm opportunity with a reputable road maintenance company
• Varied role combining Vac Truck operation and hands-on labouring

What you'll be doing:

• Operating a Vac Truck safely and efficiently on road maintenance projects
• Assisting with excavation, drainage and infrastructure works
• Supporting general labouring duties as required
• Assisting crews with pothole repairs, asphalt works and concrete works
• Performing pre-start checks and ensuring equipment is maintained
• Working safely around live road environments and following site procedures
• Supporting incident and emergency response activities when required
• Operating mobile plant and equipment as required

What you need:

• HR Licence (essential)
• Proven experience operating a Vac Truck (essential)
• Previous experience in road maintenance, civil construction or infrastructure environments preferred
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures
• Ability to work night shift and occasional weekends
• Reliable, physically fit and willing to perform labouring duties
