Connect People are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator / Civil Labourer for an immediate start on a remote infrastructure project based in rural South Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a major infrastructure contractor, working on a long-term project with strong hours, penalties and living away allowances.

The Role:
$35.00 p/h + penalties + superannuation.
21 days on / 7 days off roster.
10-12 hour days.
Immediate start with initial 6-week assignment.
Potential for ongoing work following initial period.
This role requires regular travel and working away from home in remote locations.

Living Away Allowance:
$280 per day if using your own accommodation (caravan, self-arranged accommodation etc).
$120 per day if accommodation is arranged for you.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, dozers and other plant equipment as required.
Load and unload machinery onto transport vehicles.
Assist with cable hauling, rope pulling and associated field activities.
Undertake civil labouring duties including fence repairs, hand excavation and general site works.
Operate additional equipment such as vacuum trucks, winches, cranes and HR trucks where required.
Work safely in remote environments and maintain high safety standards at all times.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Current Excavator VOC / competency.
Previous excavator and/or dozer operating experience.
Experience loading machinery onto floats or trucks highly regarded.
Willingness to assist with labouring duties when required.
Ability to work independently in remote and challenging environments.
Strong work ethic with a team-first attitude.
White Card required.
MC Truck Licence highly desirable.
Additional plant tickets highly regarded.
